Bob was born to Christian parents in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, and trusted Christ as his personal Savior at a very early age. He was active in his church and with Canadian Youth for Christ. He graduated from Tweed High School (now closed) in 1959, worked for a couple of years, and enrolled in what became London (Ontario) College of Bible and Missions. While there he met Doris Smith, from Michigan. In 1964 he became a Bachelor (of Religious Education) in May and a happily married man in June. Doris graduated in 1966.

Doris and Bob moved to Cleveland, OH, in 1966, where Bob edited Sunday School study materials at Union Gospel Press and where their daughter, Karen, was born.

In September 1969, Bob joined the staff of Back to the Bible in Lincoln as assistant editor of a Bible study magazine, the Good News Broadcaster. In the 37+ years before he retired in December 2006, Bob held many positions. TO BE CONTINUED.
